Lost Relics Slot Game Review
Archaeological hunts for the hidden treasure have always been a popular theme in all forms of entertainment – especially following the rise of characters such as Lara Croft and Indiana Jones – and it would seem NetEnt have taken inspiration from those themes when coming up with this particular title.
Lost Relics slot game takes players on a journey, and our Lost Relics review will look to ensure players stay on the right path as they look to find all the glorious hidden treasure that is available to bettors in abundance!
Gameplay
The Lost Relics slot game is played on a grid of 5×5. However, it does not follow the traditional format that involves paylines. Instead, this NetEnt product provides players with the chance of winning big awards via the use of a cluster pays method.
This particular method means bettors are able to win prizes when they match blocks of matching symbols on the grid. Players are able to place bets as little as R$0.20 per spin, whereas the high-rollers are able to place up to R$400 on each turn. For those that are either new to a cluster pays method or are not quite sure about what to expect, they can play a Lost Relics Free Play demo above and get a feel about what to expect on this hunt.
As with many of NetEnt’s game offerings, there are a couple of buttons that allow for the gameplay experience to be customised. ‘Autoplay’ and ‘Max Bet’ buttons – which are both pretty self-explanatory – are both available on either side of the ‘Spin’ button at the bottom of the grid.
As mentioned, winning combinations can be formed via blocks of symbols – although a cluster needs to feature at least six to win. Playing card suit icons feature as the lowest-paying icons, whilst other symbols such as daggers and a Greek helmet feature.
The ring and a red orb with a golden snake are the highest-paying icons available in this Lost Relics slot game and provide up to 6,000x the original stake if a winning cluster of 25-of-a-kind is formed.
Feature Bonuses
During the Lost Relics game review, we managed to find two different outcomes when forming winning combinations. Players would either be handed a coin reward and nothing else, or they would see winning symbols vanish and be replaced in some spaces by bonus symbols.
As many as five of these bonus symbols can be displayed at one time, whilst the combination of either a Coin Win, an Extra Wild, or an Extra Scatter can be added.
With these methods in mind, a Coin Win can pay out between 3x and 30x the total bet, whereas the Extra Wild will see up to 15 Wilds added to the grid in areas where wins were not formed. The Extra Scatter, though, will move across to the side of the reels and fill the circular device.
If three of the Scatters are collected, the circular device will be filled, and ten free spins will be awarded to the player. During this feature, there is a treasure chest hidden below the tiles in random positions. If a chest is uncovered before the free spins finish, another will be available to find.
In the end, any uncovered treasure chests will be opened up to reveal the treasure that they have been containing. Players can receive free extra spins, sticky wild symbols or a coin prize of between 1x and 30x the stake.
RTP (return to player)
NetEnt’s Lost Relics slot game is a medium variance slot that has a return to player (RTP) rate of 96.3%.
